St John's has a variety of services at different times...

Our Sunday Services:

8am is a service traditional in content but personable in style.  We sing mainly from the Hymn Book; we follow the Prayer Book; and each time we meet together we celebrate Holy Communion.  But we do all of this in a friendly and relaxed way.  We tend to be quiet (we don't really cater for young children), but we're not silent; we aim to be solemn, but not stuffy; we want to be reverent, but not religious... read more

10am is a service in a modernised Anglican style.  We sing a mix of traditional hymns, classic choruses and modern songs.  We cover all the significant elements of Anglican liturgy, but we do so selectively from week to week.  We celebrate the Lord's Supper on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month.  We aim for a high level of participation and some interaction.  We cater for all the family (see Kids Church), and we are made up of people of all ages and stages... read more

5pm is a contemporary service with identifiably Anglican hallmarks.  We cater for all ages and stages, with a focus on families (see Kids Church and Young Families).  We try to keep things contained, without compromising.  We really value a high level of participation and interaction.  We meet from 4:30pm for a relaxed and friendly afternoon tea... read more

Other services:

Nursing Home Service On the third Tuesday of every month at 10:45am we hold a service of hymns and Holy Communion at Opal South Valley Nursing Home (on South Valley Rd, Highton).  We sing a good number of rousing old hymns; we read the Scriptures and remember the good news; we share together in Holy Communion; and we spent time praying for the residents of Domain personally.  It is a friendly and uplifting time as we celebrate the salvation Christ has won for us... read more
